Vacancy for a Development Officer for Cove & Kilcreggan villages: Our Community role advert

Our Community are looking to appoint a Development Officer for October 2026 - March 2027.

In 2022 the villages of Cove and Kilcreggan secured Government funding through the Strengthening Communities Programme, administered and supported through CEIS. In 2025 the Trust delivered a Local Place Plan for Cove and Kilcreggan by means of this funding. The Trust is known locally under the name of ‘Our Community’(OC).

We are currently working with Community Enterprise to turn the aspirations of the community laid out in the LPP into an action and delivery plan.

We currently have various community volunteer groups ranging from Heritage to Footpaths, Sustainability and Business to Sport who are working on the various ambitions laid out in the action plan. This is a proactive and community-focused role, working closely with local volunteer groups, residents, partners and funders, with particular focus on developing a vibrant and sustainable funding landscape for the community — from small grants that enable individual initiatives through to larger strategic funding for major projects — and building strong, long-term relationships with funders and partners along the way.
