Craigrownie 10th Anniversary: GALA Day!

A celebration is planned for the decade of Craigrownie Playpark!

Our Community is planning a fun filled (and, touch wood, sun-fuelled) Gala Day on Saturday 22 August between 12noon - 4pm. There will also be an evening ceilidh in the Cove Burgh Hall.

Gathering at 11.30am at the Medical Centre the Gala will then commence at midday with a parade leaving from the Medical Centre to Craigrownie Park. Everyone is invited to dress up with the theme being “Playful Characters” so take your pick from any character you wish from books, films, TV shows, stories etc.

Events at Craigrownie include an array of games, bouncy castle, face-painting, music, crafts, entertainment, food and drink.

The Evening Ceilidh will be held at Cove Burgh Hall from 8pm onwards for anyone 13 years and older. Tickets are available for 10 pounds from the Kilcreggan Post Office. A great night of music, dancing and raffle with prizes including those donated by the Creggans Bar, AT Hughes, Waverely Excursions, La Jupe (Helensburgh). Get your tickets in quick!

Our Community are funding the event through a combination of funds raised via our local Community Lottery, seeking grant funding, and raising funds locally.
